Mailshake is looking for a highly motivated QA tester to help us ensure a high level of quality for our simple yet powerful sales engagement software for sales professionals. You will work closely with members of the Product and Engineering teams to understand feature requirements and determine the appropriate test cases so that we can continue to provide our customers with a great user experience.
About the position
The QA Tester is responsible for much of the manual testing of our product. You’ll use your keen attention to detail to uncover problems and document next steps for the engineering team. You will partner with our QA automation engineer on the overall test process and strategy, and help create and maintain our entire test suite. You will also work with other internal Mailshake personnel to classify issues and determine the severity of potential errors. His day-to-day work primarily consists of manually testing various aspects of our product, identifying and documenting test cases, running acceptance and regression tests, and writing bug cards. in Jira for production issues. This is a remote-only position and therefore requires the ability to get the job done with minimal supervision, but you also need to be able to communicate effectively with other team members as needed. You must have a steady pace to write test cases, perform manual tests, and verify that features and bugs have satisfied the required test cases.
Perform acceptance tests and manual regression.
Create and maintain manual regression test cases / suites.
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured defect and test plans.
Review and classify issues reported by internal users and customers.
Assist in the development and maintenance of automated test suites.
Create acceptance criteria based on product requirements.
Should have
Previous work in a QA Tester role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with Jira or other Kanban board style software.
Experience testing web-based applications.
Experience using Chrome Dev Tools to inspect for browser errors and problems.
Nice to have
Previous remote work from home experience in a QA Tester role.
Previous work in a SaaS company.
Experience with running tools and scripts from the command line.
Experience with selenium, protractor, or other automated testing tools.
Experience in using Postman to test APIs.
Knowledge of SQL and how to execute database queries.
Knowledge of JavaScript and / or Node.js.
