Job Description

Overview: As a Product Manager for our Studio team, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our studio product offerings. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, content creators, and marketing to define the product vision, roadmap, and strategy. Your goal will be to create innovative products that empower creators and enhance the studio experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Product Strategy: Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our studio product offerings. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user feedback to identify opportunities and prioritize features.
  2. Feature Definition: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define product features, and prioritize development efforts. Create detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, design, content creation, and marketing teams to execute on the product roadmap. Coordinate project timelines, resources, and dependencies to ensure timely delivery of product milestones.
  4. User Experience: Champion the user experience and advocate for user-centric design principles throughout the product development lifecycle. Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to gather insights and validate product decisions.
  5. Product Development: Lead agile product development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily standups. Work closely with engineering teams to prioritize and deliver high-quality product releases on time and within budget.
  6. Performance Tracking: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product success. Analyze data, track product usage, and gather feedback to iteratively improve product features and performance.
  7. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate product updates, progress, and priorities to internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and external partners. Present product demos, roadmaps, and business cases to gain alignment and support for product initiatives.
  8. Market Launch: Lead product launches, go-to-market strategies, and marketing campaigns to drive awareness and adoption of studio products. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop messaging, positioning, and promotional materials.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of product management experience, preferably in the technology or media industry. Experience with studio or content creation products is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of software development processes, agile methodologies, and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence). Technical background or experience working closely with engineering teams is advantageous.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute product strategies that align with business goals and market opportunities. Experience conducting market research, analyzing data, and identifying customer needs.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams towards common goals. Experience leading product development projects from concept to launch.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas, influence stakeholders, and build consensus across teams. Comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions. Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau) is a plus.
