Platform Engineers are responsible for creating the tools and systems that enable the rest of the business to create the products our customers love. This covers everything from infrastructure management to test automation, security, privacy, SRE, and maybe even some application code from time to time.
We see platform engineers as some of the most leveraged team members – they provide the solutions to challenging problems that few people see directly, but are trusted by everyone. As we scale our team, your collaborative approach to this role will be the key to our success.

All about you

More than 7 years of professional experience in high visibility SaaS environments
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fully distributed team
Proven ability to balance optimizations across a variety of concerns, such as performance, maintainability, security, privacy, etc.
Deep, first-hand experience with leading infrastructure automation tools like Docker, k8s, Terraform, Ansible, Chef
Deep experience with data warehouse management, preferably Postgres on RDS
Experience in the implementation and optimization of third party monitoring and alert systems
Experience in the experimentation, implementation, management and EOLing of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and preferably with an IaC approach.
Experience in managing third-party development tools
Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent, or comparable industrial experience
Experience with the above in the context of video generation, rendering, or transcoding is a bonus.

Help the team optimize our internal platform
Collaboratively design, deploy, and manage new systems such as build, test, and deployment automation and other self-service developer tools.
Maintain and improve existing systems
Contribute to the application code as needed
Manage delivery based on different timelines and dependencies across the company.
Enroll in a platform squad and be accountable to your squad mates for the delivery of tools and services
