We started with private tutoring for test prep and now offer academic tutoring, group classes, online learning, college admissions counseling, boarding school admissions counseling, coding classes, and student research (we also held one of the only conferences international secondary schools research in the world). We look forward to expanding our services beyond Tokyo, to other parts of Japan, Asia and the world. We are seeking a Director of Operations for our Division of College Counseling. You will work remotely or in person to help our team grow our division, manage a team of advisors, and build the strength of our program. An ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset and is great with clients as they will take client feedback and implement it in our program.
What will you be responsible for
Managing a team of 6-10 counselors and 5-10 members of the internal team
Develop and set goals, objectives and KPIs for the division. You will guide the team in the execution strategy and report on its objectives to members of management.
Create marketing campaigns and maintain a constant pulse on the customer experience from customer use case to user persona and competitive landscape, through regular customer contact and monitoring of the enterprise software security market.
Work with the Program Manager to review and maintain a high quality of customer service among our advisors.
Plan, staff and supervise all activities of the division, including recruitment, personnel administration, performance management and review, definition of roles, responsibilities, etc.
Manage and maintain the division budget and work with our finance team to develop monthly financial reports.
Work with the program manager to provide customer service to parents and students enrolled in the program. This includes goal setting, regular follow-ups, onboarding, and receiving feedback.

Ratings
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Native English language
2+ years of experience in a similar operations role
In-depth knowledge of the admissions process to US, UK or Canadian universities is preferred
