Conference producer, 100% remote Full Time
We are looking for a conference producer to join Inside. Inside is a network of email newsletters that aim to educate, inform and inspire our readers. We cover the latest news and innovations in business, technology and VC.
What we are looking for
Our ideal conference producer is a real scammer who will be responsible for Inside virtual conferences from inception to delivery. While Inside has held live events before, this is a new initiative that will require our Conference Producer to start from scratch. You need to be agile enough to undertake new projects, prioritize “least effort, maximum results” tasks, and solve problems in real time at your own discretion. You are a servant leader and you work well under pressure, with limited instruction, while driving well. You love doing hard work and getting your own results. You need to know how to create and optimize landing pages (we use Unbounce), have in-depth knowledge and connections to the business, technology and VC communities, thrive on Twitter, and be willing to learn as you go. Some of what you will do
Strategic planning Partner with internal leadership to define success metrics in advance and vision for the conference, and then make it happen.
Conference Management – Host virtual conferences for Inside readers and audience. Own all operational and planning aspects of our virtual events, from registration, dissemination and management of speakers, promotion, etc.
Speaker Acquisition – Identify, contact, and confirm influential high-level industry experts to speak at the conference.
Project management: working with all internal teams, sales, marketing and operations to ensure the success of the conference.
Requirements
Experience in fast paced events, media or tech startups with a focus on content as a channel for growth.
A strong and competitive desire to win, driven by data and driven by results
Creative thinker who pushes the limits
Desire to work in a team-based entrepreneurial company
Maintain your composure in high pressure situations and meet tight deadlines
Exceptional for learning as you go and tackling new projects with little to no guidance
The startup experience is a bonus
Additional experience in managing B2B technology events and strong connections with target speakers
